Hayashi

Character-driven action game. Focused on controls, animation, and game feel.

By the time Hayashi started, C++ had begun to make sense and the team flow was good. It's still one of my favorites from The Game Assembly.

I focused on the control scheme and creating a smooth, responsive player experience.

My main contributions

  • Player controls — input handling, state transitions, movement feel
  • Animation integration and blending
  • Feedback systems — hit pauses, camera shake, and responsiveness polish
